We live out our experience of life as a result of our perspective. Most likely, you cannot change your circumstances. However, you have 100% control of your perspective. To have a better experience in life, don't build your life's expectations on the unpredictable. As much as your marriage, your job, your finances, your health, and even your church might mean to you, realize that these are all unpredictable and can bring much disappointment, anger, and resentment. Develop your expectations on that which will never let you down. God will work through even the bad things in your life for your good. You can expect Him to be good, faithful, loving, and working in your life even through times of pain and distress. Your perspective will determine your experience. What are you counting on? (Many of the principles from this sermon series comes from "Living Above Your Circumstances" by Chip Ingram. However, the direction and scriptures Pastor Smith uses are different.)
