"Worship Sun Apr 26 The Key to Life".
Humility is the key to Life. With humility is wisdom. Wise men are humble because they realize they fail so much. They listen to others. They accept when they have made wrong decisions. They always want to know the truth so they can improve.

Jesus says that the lack of humility is the reason people do not want to come to Him to be saved. They don't like the light of God's truth showing them their sins. Pride is probably the number one reason that keeps people from coming to God. Humility opens up the gates of Grace, confessing your sins, and finding yourself forgiven. This Grace is the only true pathway to genuine peace in your soul. Humility is the key to life!

"Devotion Thu Apr 23 I Worship His Holy Name".

Jesus walked as a common man - a carpenter, until one day He walked into a  Synagogue and proclaimed He was the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. His own village threw him out. However, He went on to find many who would listen, and follow and believe in Him. Three of His closest disciples were ordinary fishermen: Peter, James and John. One day he took them with them to a high mountain and showed them Who He really was! Jesus the Glorified SON of GOD!

Jesus teaches about the significance of where your heart treasure is. If your treasure is in this world you are bound to worry. Make Jesus your Master.. your Shepherd. Surrender every area of your life to Him. Identify and list what you are worried about and give them specifically to GOD. Trust Jesus one day at a time! Don't worry and live in tomorrow. Live for the concerns you have today. Don't borrow from tomorrow's troubles. They may not even happen!

"Devotion Wed Apr 22 Grow in the Grace of Jesus".

We all need grace. The first issue in our lives that Jesus focuses on in Matthew 5 in the Sermon on the Mount is anger. We all have a problem with that one.  As followers of Jesus Christ we are called to "grow in the Grace of Jesus" in 2 Pet 3:18. One of the first ways you grow in grace is to acknowledge how you yourself fail to meet the standard and how you need Grace yourself. This gives you more understanding and patience with others and gives you a greater ability to be "slow to anger" toward others. You are growing in grace!

Good Monday morning to you! Grace & Peace to you on this beautiful day, April 20th, 2020!

The wise are humble. Why? Could it be because a wise person knows they too make mistakes and they understand their personal need for Grace? Are the foolish in their pride missing their most significant need... Grace?

The foolish are prideful. How does pride become a barrier to what we all so desperately need.. grace for ourselves and grace toward others...

Grace and Peace to you! In His Name!

"WORSHIP Apr 19 The Way of the Wise".
How do you navigate life? The Bible has an amazing book of wisdom, Proverbs, which describes the way of the wise. It compares it with the way of the foolish.  You hear a lot of people telling you what to do. How do you navigate through all of that? Who do you listen to? God's Word describes how wise men process information - how they THINK, how they ACT, and how they REACT.  Be careful to walk the way of wisdom. “If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, and if you scoff, you alone will bear it.” - Prov 9:12  Be sure to download the "NOTES". It includes all the scripture that Pastor Shelby will use today about how to walk as a wise person.

"WED BIBLE STUDY April 8 Jesus Enters Jerusalem".

What was Jesus thinking, saying, and doing the week before He went to the Cross? Journey with us today as Jesus enters Jerusalem on Sunday, riding the donkey colt, then cleansing the temple. Then follow Him as He returns to the temple on Monday and faces an indignant group of Chief Priests, Pharisees, Sadducees, and elders of the people who are intent on stopping and even killing Jesus. How does Jesus react? What does He say? It will astound you to see the passion and compassion of Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD as He faces the most distressing day of His life - the whipping post followed by Roman crucifixion.
